What this is
This publication helps enterprise buyers evaluate custom eLearning developers, enterprise content production partners, instructional design agencies, multimedia studios and related learning service providers. It exists because that decision is expensive, slow and hard to make from vendor marketing alone.
Every record here is built the same way. We capture a claim, we attach it to a named public source with a retrieval date, we record what could not be verified, and we state the business model so you are not comparing a production studio with a software platform by accident.
Who it is for
Chief Learning Officers, heads of learning and development, HR and talent development leaders, learning experience and instructional design managers, procurement and vendor management teams, compliance and risk training managers, sales enablement leaders, customer education leaders, operations and frontline workforce managers, product training and technical education teams, training companies seeking production partners, and consultancies seeking white-label content production.
Who runs it
Custom Courseware Review Guide is a buyer-focused resource for enterprise learning and content production. The publication is supported by Cyberwisdom, which also provides enterprise learning and content services. Sponsorship and commercial relationships are disclosed, and paid placement does not determine editorial ratings or review conclusions.
We describe ourselves as buyer-focused research and a vendor directory supported by Cyberwisdom. We do not claim complete editorial independence. Claiming it would require a governance and operating process that separates commercial decisions from editorial ones, and we would rather describe accurately what we have than claim a standard we have not met. Read the ownership and funding disclosure for the detail.
What we deliberately do not do
- We do not publish numerical ratings or star scores, because we do not yet have a defensible scoring method with published weights and evidence standards.
- We do not publish rankings, or a definitive best vendor list, because the evidence base does not support one and the format invites false precision.
- We do not claim to have tested deliverables we have not tested, or to have interviewed clients we have not interviewed.
- We do not treat vendor marketing claims as independently verified performance results.
- We do not let a commercial arrangement change a rating, a ranking position or a review conclusion.
How the site is operated
AI is used for research assistance, structured extraction, summarisation, comparison table preparation, draft generation and quality checks. Every published claim passes human editorial review before it goes live. Material factual errors are corrected transparently under our corrections policy.
