AI Content Production Readiness Assessment

AI reliably compresses drafting and asset production. It does not compress judgement, and it moves the review burden onto you. This assessment asks whether you have the foundations to use it well and the governance to use it safely.

Source material quality Our source material is written, current and structured, rather than raw notes or a policy dump. We have a subject-matter owner who can validate AI-generated content against the source. We know which parts of our content are sensitive enough that they must not be processed externally.

Governance and review We have a defined human review gate before anything generated is published. We are willing to increase our own reviewer capacity, since AI increases the volume of plausible output. We have decided who is accountable when a generated error reaches a learner.

Security and data We know what data may leave our environment and have a policy for it. We have asked whether a provider offers a deployment inside our own perimeter, and understand the trade-off. We have considered our regulatory obligations for retention of generated content and prompts.

Fit for the use case Our use case is one where volume, variants or languages matter more than originality. We accept that AI will not help much on a single high-stakes piece that an expert would write well anyway. We are prepared to evaluate the output on its merits rather than assuming generated work is good.

Vendor evaluation We will ask vendors what data leaves our environment, what is retained, and what the sign-off gate is. We will ask for a worked example, reviewed by a human, rather than a demo. We will not accept a generative capability list as evidence of a production process.
